NaNoWriMo Countdown

Okay kids... are you READY!?

I finished my hard copy edits on What Ales Me last night. A few small things to address per the DIVINE Elizabeth Spann Craig, plus a read to make sure my chapters all end on a BOOM pageturner... but I should be able to send it to Ellen tonight.

That leaves me the PERFECT amount of time to prep for NaNoWriMo, eh?

This is NOT my backstory
I already HAVE:

character sketches

setting

some backstory

I NEED TO:

Chart my suspects with their motives and the clues my sleuth will uncover

Make my 'goal spreadsheet'

Clean off my desk

Erm... and I might be having trouble committing solidly to one story, as part of me wants to write the second in the series for the one I just finished... I've been immersed in this world, the characters are solid, and if it SELLS I will need more of them...

Always something exciting around here, eh?

Unfortunately, that's all I have time for right now, as this other project is BIG, but once it is done, I hope to have more to say...

Anybody else WriMoing? What do YOU do to prepare?

I'm not doing NaNoWriMo this year, and it's killing me. I love to WriMo, though I have never been as organized and prepared going in as you are. I usually barely pick a genre and a main character name before the clock strikes midnight.

Good luck to you!

I'm WriMo-ing! I'll look for you over there next time I sign on.

Good luck!

I am always WriMoing in my head, but since I failed one year, I haven't tried since.

Go get 'em girl.

I wish you luck, Hart. Maybe one of these years I will participate in NaNo.

No NaNo for moi, but as usual I am intimidated by your work ethic and prolific literary abilities. These days I'm just trying to clear off my desk.

Sounds like you're super organised, but the only way to win NaNo is to know what you're doing before Nov 1. I'm going to get into the sequel to my as yet unpublished/unsubmitted romance. That way I have many of those things sorted -- characters, settings, parts of story etc.
Have a great November! I always so look forward to the writing madness, but I always have many interruptions as do most writers.

I'm not na-no-ing or perhaps I'm No Na-no-ing? I ain't doing it but I'm writing. Had a super kick in the pants at the writing retreat I went to. I say follow where your passion is, dear Tartlette. You can't go wrong then.
