My Father's Colors Blitz

So today is Marian Thomas's Book Blitz, which is a little like Talli's websplash, but with a twist. You can go here to check out what she's up to. Marian L. Thomas is releasing her second book today. Her first book, Color Me Jazzmyne was a bestseller on Amazon in early 2010.

So let me share a little bit about Marian... (in her words)

Marian L. Thomas, reared in Chicago but lives with her biggest supporter ̶̶ her husband and their spoiled but playful dog, Winston in Atlanta, Georgia. Received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

"There is nothing special about me, I am a woman, wife, writer and author who resides in Atlanta by way of Chicago. I love a man, who has supported me and given me the strength to write even when I didn’t feel like doing so. I inherited the love for melodies tones from my mother, who gave me the hand of poetry. Listening to my father play as a percussionist helped me to develop an ear for music, while my husband’s love for Jazz helped me to focus on it. My sister, made me cry when she stated how much she was proud of me. My friends keep me grounded.

“As for my writing style; most say that I write with passion, emotion, drama and a hint of reality. For me, they represent the foundation of my pen. My thoughts and even my dreams.”

Marian has worked with the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy, contributing 15% of her book proceeds from her book blitz campaign in 2010. She eagerly looks forward to releasing her second title, My Father’s Colors in March 2011.

And so the day has arrived... Here is a bit about My Father's Colors

It is sure to be another best-seller for the author as it takes you on the journey of four individuals that lead to one destination filled with betrayal, lies and shocking secrets.

Naya Monà  is back on another emotional and drama-filled roller coaster as she finds herself  fighting to find her voice, discover her father's past and search for her daughter.  How do you find a daughter you never knew you gave birth to?

Then there's Chris—her husband. How far would one go for love? That is the question that Chris wastes no time answering. He will do whatever it takes to remove his wife’s pain, even if it means being the one to cause her the most.

Let's not forget Misty. Fame and Fortune have been the determining factor for Misty ever sense her father passed away. How far will she go, this time, to achieve it?

Introducing, Carl Thompson. Carl has found the love of his life, only she doesn’t know it. Green eyes and hazel brown hair fill his dreams for the future. Does he have enough love for the both of them?

Marian's book sound like heart wrenching family situations that get at the heart of seeking who we are and where we belong. They deal with difficult topics, which we all know makes for wonderful drama. So good luck to you Marian!

Woot Woot on 400 Followers! And only 97% of them are fully clothed!
Marion's book sounds more Literary. I like those for the character definition, and I hope I absorb enough of that to make characters richer.

Yay for 400 followers! Congrats!
That's so great that Marion has a second book ready to come out and reached a best seller on Amazon already. Just reading the bit about herself, the writing was poetic in it's own right just in that short bit. I imagine her writing style is beautiful! Loved!
