Procrastinakeding

Or ten things I've been doing this weekend other than what I was SUPPOSED to be doing (outlining, writing, cleaning)

1)   Pouring orzo on my feet. In my defense, it happened in the process of making dinner, but it was a BIG MESS and required extensive clean up involving first a broom and dustpan, then a dishtowel and finally encouraging the dog to lick up the remnants.

2)   Buying Benadryl for the dog. Mr. Tart is convinced Joel is itchy because he is allergic to something. I am convinced he is itchy because he is covered in fur and lays in the grass (that would make ME itchy).
3)   Watching Men Who Stare at Goats. Twice. Good movie, great cast. I particularly enjoyed watching Georgy Clooney telling Ewan McGregor all about Jedis *snort*

4)    Jump starting my daughter's boyfriend'c car. Poor kid. I remember having unreliable cars.

5)    Admiring woodchucks. I saw 4 on my walk today—a mama and two babies and then one by itself in a totally different place. They are so cute! (yesterday I saw a pond full of ducklings... I love the baby animals of spring). Woodchucks though, I don't see all that often, which makes it extra fun.

6)   Looking for the mysteriously displaced cozy mystery notebook. If it was just the chapter I wrote, that would be one thing, but the notes are missing too, so I'm sure it is a NOTEBOOK I am looking for.

7)    Glaring at the laundry. Mysteriously, this doesn't make it fold itself.

8)   Deflecting the cat from the flowers my boss sent (as congrats for the book)--Cali keeps chewing the leaves and batting at the lily that isn't opened yet.

9)   Adding rum to various beverages. Coffee. Diet Coke. Lemonade. Oddly, rum makes most things even more enjoyable.

10)    Hanging out naked. It's what I do.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday!  You can still win my read and feedback of your WIP if you leave a comment (on yesterday's--I will be tallying from there)

Glaring doesn't wash the dishes, either. (Although I have tried.)

Alex- I know that one, too! Though the husband glaring works better... see, he cooks so I wash without complaining...

Talli--hope yours was great, too!

Jan--George IS pretty easy to watch... doesn't matter what he's in, but he made a particularly savory hippie.

Elex-she IS mischievous (and insane)--she escaped today--found her rolling around under the pine tree outside (we don't let her out normally)

Ezmirelda--no pets?! I don't think I could make it! I figure I will never own anything nice because I prefer to have animals.

Tessa-*snickers* Glad to amuse!

BEWARE OF LILIES!!! They are toxic to cats. Do NOT let her eat them unless you want to spend your advance having her little tummy pumped out. :-P

With that having been said, woodchucks are hilarious little waddlers - I'd rather watch them too. ;-)

It's not procrastination that detours me. It's too many tasks in too few hours. This weekend I feel like seven days' worth have jumped me all at once!

I thought sure you would enter the NEW TITLE BLOGFEST. I was looking forward to reading yours. Rats. Roland

Happy belated Tartiversary! Sadly, staring down my HUSBAND doesn't make him fold laundry either. Go ahead and procrastinate. You deserve an anniversary gift, no?
