DOH! I Forgot to Blog!

Okay... so not FORGOT exactly, but on Saturday I got back the 2nd of my FABULOUS Beta reponses for this round, so I've been sitting with my head buried in Chrysanthemum Campaign for 3 days. I am FINALLY DONE addressing all their CAREFUL AMAZING Feedback. I have a few SQUEEES to share on the matter.

Both Leanne and Stacy, true-blue betas who've each read MOST of my stuff say this is their favorite. They ALSO pointed out all the holes and points of incredulity so I could address them head on. It is a better book for their input and I THANK THEM with this line of Chippendale Dancers.

Leanne's suggestion led to them, but Stacy will approve...

And this adorable set of animals.

How cute am I?

I am now BACK to my BuNoWriMo project and after three days off, MAN, I needed that!!! Passed 35K—it isn't the 2K per day average I was trying to keep, but the EDITING is really mostly DONE!

I even managed to read a GREAT BOOK while they had Chrysanthemum Campaign.

If you haven't read Susan Quinn's Open Minds, it is a BRILLIANT YA with excellent premise, excellent plotting, excellent premise... seriously. A FANTASTIC book.

But now back to reading my OWN darned book on the commute *pout* and THANKFULLY, writing at night. (and blogging on schedule... that will be good)

Glad you got useful feedback.
2000 words a day - not a chance. I'll probably be short a few thousand when June ends.

I bow to you with all that's going that you have produced 35K.

I want to read Susan Quinn's Open Minds.

My Stetson's off to your generous beta's. You work too hard and you'll go up in flames! :-)

Kitty-they ARE Naked!!! And I LUUUUURVE them!

Alex-that is a pretty manageable pace for me if I don't have other stuff going on. I can typically do 1000-1500 in an hour.

Teresa-I sort of go all out or not at all out... And yes--read it!

Sarah-absolutely better than nothing!

Roland-HA! I'm on FIAH!!! *snort* Man, I wish... I'd even settle for smoking (but not the yucky, stinky kind)...

Great betas are priceless. I don't know what I would've done without mine. Good luck getting back in the groove!

What can I do for you that will warrant a thank you of Chippendale dancers? I'll do it!

Hedgehogs are cool. Also, extremely happy for you getting great input. It's so much better than writing in a vacuum. Though obviously, if you are going to write in a vacuum, I personally recommend the Kirby.

New plan: Fill all my plot holes with adorable animals. Readers will be too overwhelmed by the cuteness to notice my incredulous writing.

Thanks for the wonderful advice, Hart, even if you didn't intend it as such. And keep on SQUEEEing.

Sounds like a very satisfying day all in all!!! I love that tiny otter like being. Uh, I don't know if you noticed this but your Chippendales have their pants on???
I mean GAH. Can you tell I'm writing YA? Seriously? Like for real?
