Wombats and Wibbly Wobbly Wonkiness

Once again... 'pologies for no authorness and speedy posting... Daughter is successfully adulted, but that meant family night, so I am in brief today... which is not to say I'm wearing briefs, as I don't really condone pantsiness, but nevermind...

Wombats

I love these furry, gentle looking fellows, though you DO have to note the claws--I wouldn't want to cause one to panic. Still, they are ever-so-cute, and like many Australian cutenesses, they are marsupials. I wish people were marsupials--it would have made things so much easier...

Wibbly Wobbly Wonkiness

You know... mostly I haven't been a giant sci-fi nut... gadgets and gimmicks don't do it for me. As an adult I've grown into some of the medical or species/organism stuff. But one category I've ALWAYS loved is TIME TRAVEL. From the dark Terminator series to the old romantic 'Somewhere in Time'.  And my most recent love... I was a late-adopter, as nerdom goes, but I am NOW a dedicated WHOVIAN.

My favorite episode is probably BLINK. It's EVERYONE'S favorite. But there are tons of great ones. You really ALL should be devoted.

Ooh. Two of my favourite things too! Blink is wonderfully creepy. Don't worry about frightening a wombat, they're a bit slow, in a short sighted way and often don't notice if you pat them, they dig with the claws and the only injury you'd get is if one walked on you trying to find food.

How come everyone else is up to W and I'm floundering back at P??? Some sort of time warp that I got stuck in I suspect.
cheers
Sue

Marsupials are sort of odd creatures, aren't they? But they do have handy traits!

I like time-travel stories, too!

I love the squishy wombat - must love him and hug him and call him George. And Hurrah! for the Doctor.

You have to check out The Red Pen of Doom Blog posting: Just a Man and His Wombat. It's video of a particularly snuggly marsupial with his owner in the park. So sweet. Wombat love is second only to Muskrat Love.

High Five! My kids got Doctor Who T-shirts for Christmas and my hubby didn't get why they were so excited. Maybe he'll get it one day. Until then, the rest of us watch the Doctor over and over.

Blink is one of the best episodes. It reminded me how as a kid growing up I would always turn my mom's statues around because I thought it was creepy that they kept looking at me. Needless to say Blink brought it all back.
