Twelve TBR Books

So this is the list of books I am itching to read... and when I say itching, I mean that in the non-rash way...

Breakthrough by Stephen Tremp (I downloaded this recently, so I hope to get to it over break)
Cassastar by Alex Cavanaugh
Circle of Friends Book II: Sarah by L. Diane Wolfe (I even already own this! Reading very soon!)
Diamonds for the Dead by Alan Orloff
The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery
Finger Lickin' Dead by Riley Adams (aka: Elizabeth Spann Craig)
The Hating Game by Talli Roland
His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik (I'm on library waiting list)
Never Eighteen by Megan Bostic
Percy Jackson and the Sword of Hades
The Pull of Gravity by Gae Polisner
Uncut Diamonds by Karen Jones Gowen
Blood on his Hands by Mark Sadler

Notice something? I KNOW about three quarters of these people!

Yes, I want to read YOUR books! And if you aren't here, I either have FORGOTTEN about a book deal, or had a brain crisis, because I DO want to read all your books...  and I really hope this list grows as the REST of you get publishing contracts!  (my wish for you this holiday season!)

Now that is all for today... very brief... I lost most of my weekend to editing so the blog is brief...

We want to read your book, too! Do you have a pub date? I'm guessing Nov/Dec. 2011?

I haven't heard anything on a pub date--I don't even have a TITLE! Almost done with this round of edits though...

Hart, I'm thrilled you want to read my book! I promise it doesn't cause chafing...

Well, you don't know me YET, but once you do, there will be plenty to read! ;)

About half of these are on my list, too. Great choices :)

Thanks for including me, Hart! As far as I know, no one has gotten a rash from my book. Now nausea, that's a different story.

Colene Murphy said...

That's awesome. And I agree, we want your book too!!

Well, I don't have a book, but you are welcome to read my first grader's stories.

I really want to read Alex's book too.

That is SO cool!!! And you have to post reviews, too! Yay!

Merry Christmas, my friend~ :o) <3

Alex, definitely relieved there is no chaffing!

Devon-WELCOME! I will have to look and see what there is!

Carol-it's fun to make all these writer friends, ne?

Jenny-Oi! You've started the scratching!

Alan-I doubt you've caused any nausea! I just love the sound of your story!

Colene-Thank you!

Abe-I love kid's stories! Their creativity isn't bound by 'possible' so they are a ton of fun!

Leigh--will do! I am hoping for an Amazon certificate to get some soon, or they may need to be library reads, but I am excited to read them!

ooh i'm like you. If i read your blog, and you've written a book? I will read the book. 100% of the time.
It just seems logical to me.

May the publishing and literary dreams of all our friends come true. ESPECIALLY for you, Hart.

And may I live long enough to read all the books on my huge and ever growing list.

Hart Johnson said...

Ha! Sorry for the oversight, Mark! I added it!

Sarah-just more interesting, eh? Ensures we get a mix and it's fun to know the author!

Barbara-Thank you!

Helena--Thank you so much! And absolutely--the list should grow exponentially as all our fabulous peeps get out there!

I have a lot of these books on my TBR list, too. I have read "Diamonds for the Dead" and "Finger Lickin Dead" and loved them both. You’re in for a real treat.

I want to read your book! I'm going to borrow your list for ideas.

Veiled in Shadows- I would recommend it to you anyday. It follows the same approach you took for Confluence, and works really well.

ooh. Just got a google alert to this. I guess one day we're all lucky enough to be jaded (?) but for now, showing up on lists like this is exhilarating and appreciated. Thank you! :)

Look forward to reading your stuff too!

Now going to read some of your deepest darkest secrets somewhere up there *points*. They'd better be juicy. ;)

I've enjoyed Breakthrough and Diamonds for the Dead so far, but the rest are still on my TBR list (a couple even on my bookshelves). Because of my blogger friends, my list is growing much faster than I'm reading.
