Twelve Lame Excuses

As you probably can guess... this would be about the FITNESS PLAN (that is no longer)... (and brief, as I have a LOT of editing to do this weekend—I am still determined to finish my LEGACY edit, but I also want to get my Cozy edit solidly done before Christmas... the PLAN being all the big point edits this weekend and then the 'read it all and smooth next week).

So on the... whatever day of Twelvsies, her Tartness gives to you.... Twelve Lame Excuses!

1)    But IN bed is Cozy. OUT of bed is COLD!

2)    5am comes REALLY EARLY!

3)    Can't you see I was DYING of hunger!? (okay, so maybe not DEATH exactly, but real discomfort...)

4)    BUT ALL THIS STRESS!!!!

5)    The rum made me do it.

6)    Well NOW it's just too SLIPPERY!

7)    That eggnog TOTALLY had my name on it.

8)    These cookies (and the FUDGE!) only come around once a year.

9)    NOBODY is supposed to diet during the holidays (yes, I start holiday season at Labor Day)

10)  My EDITING BRAIN needs FUEL!

11)  You KNOW I'll just get all pouty if everyone else is and I'm not.

12)   I'm too BUSY TO EAT RIGHT OR EXERCISE!

So there you have it... and that last one is today's excuse. I won't be around for reciprocity this weekend (much) because I am doing ALL my shopping, wrapping and any lame attempt at carding of the season in addition to my bigger edits on the cozy and finishing this round on editing legacy (did you hear the whip crack? What a taskmaster) so I am off now to SHOP (eek gad-it's barely 9, SHOPPING? Seriously?) yup.

Hope you all have a fabulous and productive weekend!!! I Loves you, Bloggie friends!

#'s 1, 4, and 8 are sooooo me! Good luck getting all your goals met for the weekend.

My philosophy is, if I'm gonna get into trouble, I'm gonna make it worth my while. So, make sure you get some really scrumptious goodies to use for fuel :)

*snorts*

Nobody but you could come up with a list like this. Unless it is someone who will blame it on his grandmother.

I think you need to start the season around the Fourth of July instead. Maybe Memorial Day!

#5...I seem to have used that one a time or two. Have fun fighting the unruly shopping horde. I'm wrapping.

Shopping at 9am, that's EARLY on a Saturday. I din't wake up before 11:30 today. I guess one week of full work days and late nights writing on my so-called novel just required a long morning sleeping at some point >:)

I love these. My favorite is #11.

HAHA! I love people putting favorites! Shopping mostly ACCOMPLISHED! And I made a list of my Cozy edits--not as overwhelming as I feared... so I'm feeling better (though not well enough to eat right or exercise...)

Alex-I like how you think! Memorial day it is!

Ugh. Fitness. I spend way to much of my free time exercising as it is. Don't go down that path if you don't have to.

Excuses, excuses, but that's fine. We all have some good ones!

Too busy to eat or exercise, you say? Surely if you don't eat you don't need to exercise? QED.

Only 12? I mean they are a solid 12 and each one is legit. I could think of a bunch more including "__________ really hurts right now. I need to rest it."

Rum...vodka...whichever. I blame it on alcohol.

But 5am certainly does come early, especially with children up in the night coughing and such. It makes me cranky. For serious.

We all need our excuses... IF we didn't have them we would all be such biotches!

When you get the chance check out my entry for twisted fairytale. I think you'll find it very amusing.

I often use the "brain needs fuel" excuse.

yes well ...later. It's not as if it's going anywhere. That's what I think anywho. Who could diet this time of year? Pointless.
I'm wrapping my few gifts for little ones and making candy! Yay! I love making candy! I might even eat some! I will eat some! So I have something to do in January!!!

Tis the season to be holidazed! 1,4,5,6 sound like me. Wine instead of rum!

I agree you will burn some off rushing around!
You can do it! Then celebrate later~ Dieting this time of year is a set up for failure, IMHO.
