Nobody needs to ask why books. What would just be a silly question. But maybe I should explain why 5... See, I LOVE books. But I know over the course of the year I will learn of NEW books I want to read. So I don't want a pile larger than about 5 new ones NOW or I will feel like I can't add new titles later...

Ha! Pretty much all I asked for this year was books. And gift cards to book stores. :)
I read on my Kindle...so the "pile" is the list on Goodreads in my to-read section. Still, I often find I learn about a new book to read before I finish the one I'm currently on, so my to-read list doesn't get touched as often as it should.

I rarely get books as gifts. I guess maybe people don't know what to get me in the way of books. I don't care too much. I'm pretty open to any books and though I have a lot of them, there are billions I still don't have yet.
Five books would be really nice. A gift card from a book vendor works well too.

I receive books. I buy books. I find books. I've got books all over my place but not enough time to read them! And at this point they seem to be getting together at night and breeding. But I still love my books.
Great post, I've saw some good books on the site worth buying.
