The Most Fantabulous Holidays to All of You!!!

First, to get it out of the way, I will have the complaint portion of this blog...

1) It is FREAKING COLD!

2) They made me get a flu shot. Last year they made me and I did. But I kept asking what would happen if I DID NOT and nobody would answer the darn question, so this year I tested it. I did NOT get it... well today they finally answered the question... continuously escalating consequences that could end in termination. I need my job. But you all KNOW how I feel about it. If you don't, I suggest you read A Shot in the Light. So GRRRRRR.

3) My kindle charger disappeared and I need it.

4) Part of my desired gifts to give have been out of stock.

5) We have an ugly sweater day tomorrow and I am thoroughly annoyed. I have been poor way to much of my life to spend money on a sweater I will only wear MAYBE once a year for a a stupid occasion. Now had this been a thing when I was in my 20s and it was a real party with booze, I probably would have trekked myself to Goodwill for a dumb sweater. But I am middle aged with no room in my house for extra crap, a student in college and another who still needs financial help now and then. I have a Christmas colors sweater and I am calling it good enough, but if anybody calls it ugly I'm going to be pissed.

Okay, so enough of the grumbles.

In the positive...

1) Son is home from college for three weeks!

2) Starting Friday I get 11 days off!

3) Harry Potter marathon!!! (every Christmas)

4) Remember my new eating thing? Not much meat (turkey and fish is all), not much dairy... well I found ALMOND NOG!!!

5) I have great family and friends and am really ready for this reboot.

6) I thought THIS was the best idea ever: Welcome to being Santa

Next week I plan to PLAN *BUWAHAHAHAHAHA * which is my typical mode for preparing to start the year, so I intend to be here a couple times.

But in the MEANTIME, I wish all of you amazing holidays!!!

Your job is hard core about that shot thing. We've never gotten a flu shot. Meanwhile, my mother gets one every year and still gets the flu.
Enjoy time with your son and family!

Enjoy having your son home! I'm loving it here. :)

In case you fold on the Christmas sweater thing, my daughter had to have one for a party and got one from Walmart. They seemed to have quite a few pretty hideous sweaters in stock.

Merry Christmas!

I'm still waiting for the holidays to kick in for me. It's late this year.

Merry... Holiday? That sounds wrong.
But I hate "happy holidays."
Just have a good one, okay!

Find some goofy Christmas gift decorations and ornaments and pin them to your sweater. That will make it ugly.

Merry Christmas, Hart.

It is fugging cold here too and I lost the best warmest hat I ever had! Yes, the one you sent me. And I have something. It comes with a cough and sinus headache but worse - it comes with a complete feeling of unhappiness and loss of energy. I feel like I've been attacked by the dementors. Tomorrow is my birthday and my dear darlingest step-dot just got here from Newfoundland but right now even the thought of doing nothing but watching old Dr. Who episodes and eating truffles has no glory.
Love you kid and sorry they forced you to get a shot - what was the rationale?

You're REQUIRED to have a flu shot? How totalitarian. But if your job says you must, I guess you must, but like you I would gripe mightily about it.

I'm glad you'll have your manchild for a good long spell and eleven days off for yourself. I'll have about a week off and I pretty much just want to spend it sleeping. I'm way too worn out.

Have a spectacular holiday, Hart my dear, and the best of everything to you and your family.

I found Almond Nog too! I had to cut things from my diet and was borderline weepy as the holidays came along and the egg nog started flowing. It's not as thick as the regular stuff, but I add it to my coffee.

Have a great holiday. :)

I never had a flu shot, and you can see what happens; I'm still alive >:)

I'm running late as usual. Now it's time to get out of the office, and get to the mall to do some shopping (hate it). Merry Christmas.

Cold As Heaven

there can be so much about the holidays that are annoying, my boys are in the "I don't care" and "it's so boring and not cool" phase and I just don't feel like putting forth that much effort to be dissed when I asked for help =(
But there are those moments when they come thru with an unexpected hug or compliment or smile - and that makes me have faith in them (and in myself) again!
Glad your happies outweighed your annoyances!! Hope that continues in 2017!

and thanks for stopping by my Cradle Rock blog tour at Alex's!
