My name is Hart.

And I've been a writer for going on 8 years...
*cough*
But what I'm feeling insecure about TODAY isn't the Writing, so much as the MARKETING...
But see... THIS TIME, I already ASKED, and I'm feeling guilty about doing it again.
Especially as LAST TIME my track record had been really good being all networky myself, but I've had a helluva year...
And now my day job is being all time-sucky, so even though life is better, my time availability is not...
so I'm not feeling like I've quite pulled my weight helping everybody ELSE out this time around. PLUS... y'all already HELPED ME! ACK!
All this combo guilt, insecurity waffling means I haven't done a lot... I've set up my first signing/reading at Aunt Agatha's because Robin is so AMAZING and on top of things (she really is a superstar and if you live anywhere near Ann Arbor, you should buy your mysteries from her).
I'm not even sure what it is I want to do... Though MAYBE I could get some volunteers to share cover and blurb on April 2nd, as that is the B day for A to Z??? Begonia Bribe? See? Fits, right?
Don't forget to get around to our other insecure friends today, too!!!

Just poke me *coughs* when you need a shout out!! I'm in the same boat myself... I don't have nearly as many followers as you sseing as I let everything slide. Never really expected to have my book accepted, I suppose.
I reach more people via Twitter and FB, so I'll be happy to shout out there, and I'm sure I can come up with a bllog post or two for you. *winks*

I have a book promotion tips series happening on my blog, The Militant Writer. If you want to contribute an item about how bloggers can help one another with book promotion, let me know. I don't do too much of that myself, so I can't report on it, but would be happy to have a guest contributor.
Put me down on your calendar as well! FYI, I'm at RT Con from April 30th through May 5th and I have a release date on May 27th, but beyond those actual dates I'll do whatever you want, whenever you want *coughs*. Just let me know! :)
Hart, you have always helped me and been a good friend for years. My blog is always open.
>.< I know exactly how you feel. My second book I lost touch when a bunch of people who helped me with the first book and I wasn't about to suddenly appear pleading for help. It just felt rude.
I'm planning on taking most of April off from the blog, but I think a BIG B Breakout Begonia Bribe Blog entry could be managed first. It is rather fitting for the A to Z challenge. :))

I can totally relate to this but on a much smaller scale. You meet all these wonderful, helpful, supportive people here and they post on your blog or promote your work and then you realize that you haven't visited their blog in weeks, or you still haven't given them that feedback on their WiP that you promised. So I'd say that you should do what you can and don't worry if you can't get back to everyone because life happens and work/family/life comes first and if you responded to everyone's blogs/comments/requests you'd never get any of your own writing done...
but then I'd have to follow my own advice! :-)

Marketing makes us all feel insecure. It's tougher than writing the darn books. :)

I am the worst writer in the world when it comes to marketing, so I have no advice to give BUT maybe I can help. Of course I'd love to give a big shout-out on The Begonia Bribe on my blog, and I'll be reading it and giving a review on Amazon and Goodreads etc. Let me know what else you need and I'll hop to it.
I'm not the best at interviews but I'd be happy to put your book up on the blog either on the sidebar or in a post.
We've all got to help each other, right?
