So there is a little less than one month left in this year, right? So I figured it was time to inventory what I really still needed to do. This year has had some wacky twists to it and I'm not at all sure I've met my goals, though I've accomplished quite a bit. But THAT assessment is something I do the last few days of the month. THIS one is more an “I think I can still manage” thing.
Gorgeous, eh!? |
So HERE'S what ima do in December...
A Shot in the Light Progress
1)
2)
3) Finish writing Book 9 and write Book 10 (though I now know there will be two more AFTER that)
4)
5) Edit book 7 for 2nd readers
6) Edit book 8 for 1st readers

1)
2)
3)
4) Make my 2014 plan for writing and editing
5)
6) Blog twice a week until the last week when I can do a little more, as I'm off work (see below for reason).
If only we can avoid this... |
1) I have a brand new office and a much bigger (pretty exciting) job. Sadly this means some limiting of my blogging because I don't have time during the day to visit others—I figure if I blog twice a week, then I can take a few days to do those reciprocal visits.
Home
1) HWMNBMOTI started a new job last month, so I have some extra home commitments...
2) It is ALSO December, so I need to do a little
3) Oh, to avoid holiday weight gain... it won't happen, but I can try to limit it some.
Any of the rest of you desperately trying to salvage your year's productivity?

Sounds like a good plan. I'm trying to get Timber Rose out and make some decisions about other work. That's enough to drive me crazy for a while.
I can't believe it's December already! I've set some goals for goals for the month, including letting my NaNo draft sit for a bit and working on other fiction, plus doing some cleaning out and organizing of my desk and files, etc.
Congratulations on the next installment, Hart!
I'm only posting once or twice a week now - gives me time to catch up with comments.
Lady, how are you even sane right now? I'm dizzy just from reading this.
Book 6 already!?! You are super duper awesomely and most NAKED of all!! Yay for you!! Take care

I will be SHOCKED if What Ales Me doesn't sell. The first time you spoke about it, i knew it was a winner
Oh, that thing you're doing with reviews is a cool idea! I may have to try that at some point.
And I completely forgot about ABNA! Hmm...
Great plan, Hart! And it really helps to list everything, doesn't it?
Hi, Hart,
Thanks for visiting me today. I've missed you. Sounds like your are INSANELY busy as usual. CONGRATS on the new job. Really happy for you.
ABNA… EEEKKKKK! Already. Geez. I had hoped to have my newest WIP finished, but that ain't happening.
I have two weeks in Florida to pull myself and work together before returning to the frozen Tundra an the holidays. Who knows if I'll even decorate…. But BAKING is a MUST!!!
Hope all is well.

I read your to-do lists and am now so exhausted I must go lie down.
Okay, I really should know this, but is Ellen your agent? And of COURSE What Ales Me should be published, followed by a book signing event and beer drinking party in Portland.
Not really working on salvaging productivity so much as sanity...too much to do, not enough time. I'll keep my M-W-F blogging going because it keeps (semi)sane, and then focus on family and health. The health so I can do the family thing...

Sounds like you're going to be very productive. November got away from me. I'm going to work on the novel I'm writing and publicize the one that's out. That along with Christmas shopping, baking and holiday other things should keep me quite busy.
