You Thought YOU Loved Books...

Is this to die for, or what? I mean we ALL have had fantasies of a library like Belle finds when she visits Beast—high ceilings and books all the way up, but what an elegant twist!

This is a little more intimate, I suppose... probably a lot more realistic...

Or if you want to sleep on them...

Or bathe in them...

Or perhaps you'd like to live in a city that loves them. I understand this is St. Louis? (anybody know for sure?)

I don't have any idea where this one is...  Anybody?  Bueller?

Or as a home for your OTHER favorite thing.... I confess to falling full on in LOVE with this.

But if you are really and TRULY committed to books...

I happen to ADORE this...

I love the whimsy and how impressively TALL that stack is... you know I've thought about getting a tattoo per book that I publish, and I have to confess how appealing this idea is as my 'tattoo of what?' answer. Though the trouble is it is more a Gestault pic, than a book at a time pic... To get the tattoo done piecemeal, I don't think it would look quite this great.

Something like this would work better:

There is even room on the spines for titles--see how they are SORTA 3-D, but not so much that you can't put the next one in there... but then there is only room on a person's back for a limited number... Perhaps if they were lined up sideways... Like on a real shelf... I would LOVE the problem of facing... 'oh, have to go around to my belly' if I published enough books... I ALSO love the idea of maybe a nuance to it... color in the bestsellers or something...

What do you think?  How much do YOU love books?

I love books so much that I keep buying more and more of them even though my shelves already hold more than I can possibly read during the rest of my life.

I love books, but not enough to get one of those "book" themed tattoo

ALLLLL over the first few... but needles scare the you-know-what outta me, so tattoos are for other people as far as I'm concerned...

Cool pictures. I love books, but have a low threshold for pain, so tattooing would be out. They're nice, but I can't help wondering how painful it must have been to get those done

When I was younger I dreamed of having my own library like that one.

I love books most of the time, but I hated books every time we moved and I had to carry all the boxes

I love books, but I seriously can't stand those library-winding-stairwells. I guess just because I'm a klutz or a bit claustrophobic, but no. Can't stand them.

I do love me some books! I'm not so sure about the tattoo, though...

The library you have marked as St Louis is *I think* Kansas City, MO.

I should really get a book tat...
But! I have a plan for a tat for my first published book. Right now i have a quill tat on my shoulder blade (though it needs a touch up and some more zazz) and my plan is to find a line from said future published book and have that tattooed under the quill so it looks like the quill wrote the line.
If it happens, there will be pics

I love, love, love books. And I hate, hate, hate pain. No tattoo for me. :)

I was gazing wistfully at the laptop cover a couple of days ago. Isn't it wonderful!

I've always had books and I have a have enough to start of used book store and be in business before buying new stock--or so hubs says after toting my books around over 30 years.

I like the shelving over the bed, but there have been times my books have been more like the ones stacked around the bed, lol!

great pics!

I love that winding staircase leading to books and more books. That's how much I love them! Enough to fill my house but not enough to wear them as body art.

No ink for me. Needles. Eeeww. Love that built-in bed, though.

Happy Weekend!

A gorgeous private library in my home is one of my fantasies. Love the shelves built around the bed.

I totally want to build the reading nook into a book wall. It could work well as part of a shared study in the home I lust after. :)

Or maybe if I'm really lucky I'll get my own study and slowly fill the walls with awesome old books... maybe it can be a library/wine loft. :)
