Astonishing Animals are Amusing.
Aardvark
And here we have an aardwolf pup--who knew THESE existed!? (thanks Rosie!)
(Giant) AnteaterArmadillo
an observation: Animals that begin with A are a little odd... (though I confess to liking them for that...)
This is ALSO an Armadillo... the Glasgow amphitheater, nicknamed, the Armadillo... (I've been there... it isn't nearly so strange inside... and I LIKE its strangeness outside)
Appetizing Arrangements
Asparugus
Artichokes
And Veggies that start with A take my #1 and #1 favorite spot! Who knew!?
Anomalous Apostrophes
yeahno

This last is the funniest to me...
Okay, so that doesn't explain my attitude... but it's there. Trust me.
And an idea I stole directly from Alex? Sharing blogs... for today... two A Blogs that I never miss!
Alex Cavanaugh
And Alliterative Allomorph with Jessica Bell
Good luck on A to Z progress, gang!
I REALLY can't stand apostrophes in their wrong place's. haha just kidding on that last word. Seriously, people need to go to school! *twitch twitch* Especially if they're in the sign-writing business!
ReplyDeleteThose signs seriously make me despair of all humanity...alot <---- See what I did there? hahahaha! I crack myself up!
ReplyDeleteMy co-workers are notorious for misplacing apostrophes. I then give them a hard time over it. You'd think they'd start putting them in the right place just to get me to shut up.
ReplyDeleteA really fun post!
My Pet Blog
Hi Tart :o) oh those A animals are super cute and I love asparagus fried in butter. Tastes like peanuts. XX
ReplyDeleteIs your attitude one of Astonishment?

ReplyDeleteSquee!!!!! Look at the little naked aardvark!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Dunkin Donuts.
My hubby's favourite animal is the Giant Anteater - he's always wanted one. But I'm a bit in love with the baby Ardvark, how cute?
ReplyDeleteGreat start to the A-Z.
Great A post; I had attitude in mine, too. Now, I want a drink and a doughnut...oops wrong day ;-D
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwww aardvark! Animals are so amusing and nAked!
ReplyDeleteYay!!!!!!!!
LOL at those apostrophe's!! LOL!!
Take care

Are you going to do all your A-Z challenges in pictures? That would be like an extra added twist.
ReplyDeleteApparently the people who are responsible for naming ugly animals have something against the letter "A".
*giggles* Thanks so much, everyone! As for pics in the A to Z--a lot of them. There are a couple topics I want to hit more completely and won't go this route, but I thought an animal, a food and a writing thing, if I could do it in brief, was a nice route for a lot of the month.
ReplyDeletei really loved this idea..and I loved all the pictures... great start to the a-z challenge..great to see you again this year.
ReplyDeleteLove this post - I think that Glasgow's amphitheater looks awesome from the outside.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing funny mispelled signs. We have a restauarant close to home with a sign that says, Family Dinning." Still haven't eaten there LOL!
ReplyDeleteHey, Hart...Love the pics and the attitudes. Hoping to get around to most all of the blogs. Love, Ruby
ReplyDeleteThat aardvark is so cool - part pig, part donkey, part elephant. All in a tiny package.
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing April.
i could eat asparagus every day. True story.
ReplyDeleteAlso check out This Link for an adorable baby Giant Anteater pic.
Totally worth it.
Great post! I found you through the A-Z Blogging Challenge, but I read a few other posts and something caught my eye. Your mention of Harry Potter fanfics! I too explored my writing by writing a HP fic, so we already have something in common! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat As! Okay, but Sign's is the funniest :)
ReplyDeleteB
Such fun! This was great Ms. Tart!
ReplyDeleteI love armadillos. They're weird in all the right ways.
ReplyDeleteLove, love the post~!!Great start to the A to Z~!! Pictures of the critters are great, and the veggies, too!...Thanks for sharing...Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteI loved the pics. You are truly an addict!
ReplyDeleteDafeenah
The food made me hungry. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I laughed at the random apostrophes. :D
What an awesome way to start the A-Z challenge!
Hah, the signs are funny to me...while I may not be the most prolific in grammar, I know when it is incorrect and it drives me nuts...oh well! talking about attitude!
ReplyDeleteIn my quest for word suggestions on FB/Twitter/etc., for "A" I received "aardwolf". They're cute little canines that eat insects in Africa. Less exotic than it's A-kin features above, but cute, and if you hadn't heard of them, I wanted to share :)

East for Green Eyes
Armadillos reminds me of A Prayer for Owen Meany >:)

"Sign's"?! they MUST be joking!!! Great find, Miss Hart.
ReplyDeleteA animals are kinda odd but so cute. Those signs are hysterical.

The aardwolf is so ugly he is cute!
ReplyDeleteThe animals are amazing, but I think the apostrophe is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteWho knew that 'a' animals were so odd! Very interesting indeed. The apostrophe thing is probably one of my biggest pet peeves, I'm so glad that it bothers other people too! haha Great post!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I'd never heard or seen of that little zebra looking guy before either.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend,
Kathy M. from the land of A-Z

Thank you so much for my big smiles today -- for the signs of the times! We don't have those animals in here but I agree they're odd but that's what add to their cuteness! :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the animal pics! And I'd love to visit that ampitheater....
ReplyDeleteWow, an aardwolf pup. That's so awesome. Good luck on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteApostrophe's...yeah. Not our specialty. ;) Fun A post, Hart, can't wait to see the "H".
ReplyDeleteerica
A to Z. Alex must have gotten to you too. The apostrophes made me laugh. Funny.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of April Fool's. I pranked the entire 6th grade today. It was great. Check my blog for video.
great start to the challenge, liking the sign collection.
ReplyDeleteThe Armadillo and Anteater are just too cool...weird, very weird, but in a cool way. They seem like from another planet or out of a fantasy novel/movie.
ReplyDeleteMarcus
Nice post, Hart. I love aardvarks...don't know why. There's something so appealing about that face. :)
ReplyDeleteUGH I never realized how icky aardvarks looked! Arthur wasn't that wrinkly! Thanks for stopping by my blog; hope you can make it back for another visit!
